Recently I had the opportunity to travel to china because my husband was working on a project in Shanghai. We had an amazing time and even had the opportunity to visit the Shanghai Disney Resort. I have to say that despite all that I have been reading recently about the park it was really well done and once finished I feel that it is going to be among the top attractions in China.
While on my visit to Disney there were massive crowds just clamoring to get a glimpse of the park. You almost felt bad being one of the 500,000 lucky people to have scored a ticket. The top attraction was of course the roller coaster Tron. It is high speed motorcycle coaster. Despite all of the technical issues getting the ride started and all of the backup with the lockers—verdict is a must. Maybe this attraction will hit Orlando or Anaheim in the near future.
Among the other highlights of the park you have a walk through the castle. Sorry folks but only in Shanghainese no closed-caption available. But you can safely assume what Snow White and Tinkerbell are trying to tell you. There is also a Toy Story ride, Peter Pan, a few other coasters, a maze, what appears to be a rope course, Soaring, Shipwreck course and a few others. I have to say that if you end up in Shanghai at some point in your travels do make a pit stop at Disney if for no other reason than to add another Disney notch on your belt. Although, based on my adventure I think you will enjoy!
